Introduction
The aim of the project is to contribute to the optimal operation of the 225 kV loop around Bamako. The power plant is in development under a public private partnership (PPP) arrangement between the government of Mali and NovaWind, a subsidiary of the Rus ian conglomerate Rosatom. The approval gives the green light for the proposed 33 MW Ségou and 50 MW Fana Energy Storage Container Adding Containerized Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to solar, wind, EV. Technological advancements are dramatically improving solar storage container performance while reducing costs.
