This project conducted a comprehensive life cycle assessment – encompassing the materials. A growing slice of this market is taken up by long-life storage systems (8-10 hours or more), which are essential for managing electricity demand, reducing peaks, and stabilizing grids: this is an area where "Redox Flow Batteries " (an abbreviation of “reduction-oxidation flow batteries") show.
