Introduction
Before a system can go live, contractors must pass a formal solar inspection. Inspectors must use their discretion in the field and may adjust their processes based on characteristics of their local community and contractor community. In terms of full disclosure, I am an electrical engineer and not a licensed PV Installer or a licensed Electrical Inspector. The inspection process is usually with an official that works for the local AHJ’s building department, and someone that works for the utility, it can also be done by a third-party working on behalf of the AHJ or utility.
