European gravitational potential solar container

This technology, which transforms excess electricity into gravitational potential energy, offers an environmentally friendly, long-duration storage option that could complement and even, in some cases, rival conventional battery systems. The EU solar energy strategy proposed under the REPowerEU plan aims to make solar energy a cornerstone of the EU energy system. Boosting renewable energy is also an important part of the European Green Deal in the context of the green transition towards climate neutrality. That is why we have developed a mobile photovoltaic system with the aim of achieving maximum use of solar. This article suggests using a gravitational-based energy storage method by making use of decommissioned underground mines as storage reservoirs, using a vertical shaft and electric motor/generators for lifting and dumping large volumes of sand. When only the force of gravity is acting on an object, it’s called gravitational potential energy. The combination is a complete replacement for fossil fuel power plants with no need for backup, storage or additional transmission and distribution.
