Introduction
Shanghai has approved the Fengxian 1# offshore photovoltaic project, the first commercial-scale solar-wind hybrid of its kind in China. The move marks a major step forward in the city's efforts to build a modern maritime hub powered by clean energy. This image shows an integrated offshore wind and solar energy project that combines wind turbines with photovoltaic arrays at sea. Pre-fabricated containerized solutions now account for approximately 35% of all new utility-scale storage deployments worldwide. Established in 2012 and operating from Shanghai, China, Shanghai LZY Energy Storage Co. The Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission released a new plan on 26 August that will lead to China’s largest city opening an allocation round by the end of this year for at least 1 GW of offshore solar energy capacity that will be co-located with offshore wind.
